NEW MEASURE: Finance Minister Colm Imbert

FINANCE Minister Colm Imbert declared his interest to the House of Representatives when he piloted the Finance Bill No 2 in the House of Representatives on July 4, 2016.

The bill provided fiscal incentives for the construction sector. In introducing the measure according to the Hansard report, Imbert noted that with respect to the construction sector, there was a current incentive for the exemption from income tax, gains or profits, derived from the initial sale of a residential house site being part of a land development.
