One of the methanol plants owned by methanol holdings (trinidad) ltd, the sister company of the oman-based methanol holdings (international) ltd, that is to be monetised to reduce the debt to the government resulting from the 2009 collapse of the insurance company.

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley says the presence of multinational oil and gas giant, Royal Dutch Shell, in Trinidad and Tobago is a major signal to other investors that this country is a good place to invest.

“Not just from the point of view of the culture and the stability, but from the point of view of the nature of the projects in which the investments are made,” he said yesterday.
