Last Sunday, February 17, all roads led to the Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Tarouba, where Caesar’s Army held its annual Bacchanal Road Carnival event. The drink inclusive fete, known for its music trucks and revellers dressed in Carnival Monday wear, has become one of the most popular events in San Fernando.

If you managed to have a ticket in hand, it would of been considered "gold"or some sort of treasure due to the high demand. Patrons danced on a mini stage set up at the venue, an ambiance similar to the grand stand in Port-of-Spain, at the Queens Park Savannah. Soca star Machel Montano performed his 2019 Carnival hit song, Famalaay, alongside Bunji Garlin and Skinny Fabulous. Part of the energetic performance was filmed for the song’s music video. Express Chief Photographer DEXTER PHILIP attended the event and captured these images.
