Mr. Zafir David a 31 year old, accomplished technician and first-class sailor with more than 20 years experience. Growing up in Westmoorings on the seaside where he still presently resides, he was known from a young age in his community to accommodate the daily chores and errands of the elderly, a predilection he retains to this day. Apart from sailing he enjoys off-road and hiking activities which enables his desire to explore the most remote, unexplored points of Trinidad and Tobago. His keen interest in business and politics, integrated with his eight years in customer service have enriched his trouble shooting skills, and ability to function under pressure. His fond, vivid memories of his great-uncle whom he most admired, the former Honorable President of Trinidad and Tobago (deceased) Mr. Noor Hassanali, left him with great interest for international and current affairs, politics and a genuine love for T&T.


Thirty-eight-year-old Arima resident Allan Stoute was fatally shot by a close relative yesterday in front of three of his five children and wife.

His last words were: “...You shot me?”

He then fell to the ground, holding his stomach.

His wife Tiffany Khan ran to his side, leaving their three children in the gallery looking on, as the relative stood next to the dying man.

Cabinet has approved US$1 million (TT$7 million) to assist citizens stranded abroad.
