2019. It was for many, a year to remember and forget. The country saw the introduction to a new secured $100 note, the major floods in South Trinidad which left many homeless, the passing of local artiste Raymond Choo Kong and the secretary general of the Sanatan Dharma Maha Sabha (SDMS), Satnayaran Maharaj, the hosting of Carifesta XIV, a fashion show held at the Holy Trinity Anglican Cathedral, the spying activities of Cambridge Analytica on citizens Trinidad and Tobago, a victory for the United National Congress (UNC) in the Local Government Elections, multiple murders which crossed 500 for the year and the increase of fatalities on our nation's road.

Here are some of the images, captured by Express photographers, that defined the year.
