In Trinidad, flooding was recorded in parts of North and Central Trinidad.
There were reports of landslides and fallen trees.
And families were evacuated in Bamboo No. 3, in central Trinidad, as flood waters rose to four feet in some homes.
The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management reported flooded roads in at least 25 locations.
The St Joseph River broke its banks in the vicinity of Grand Bazaar causing the Uriah Butler Highway to be submerged in flood waters.
This resulted in major traffic disruption.
The water has subsided but clean-up operations is expected to continue for the next few days.
