As we bid farewell to the year 2022, the photography team at the Express reflects on the year via the news photos shot and brought to the public over the year.
From the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic to the Paria tragedies, the widespread flooding to worrisome crime figures, this is a photo gallery used alongside the stories that captured headlines and the nation’s hearts over the year.
Our photography team, comprising of ROBERT TAYLOR, DEXTER PHILIP, CURTIS CHASE, ISHMAEL SALANDY, JERMAINE CRUICKSHANK, and TREVOR WATSON, captured these timeless images through their lens.

JOYOUS WAVE: A West Indies cricket fan waves her flag jubilantly in the CL Duprey/Republic Bank Stand during the first One Day International (ODI) against India at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain yesterday. The West Indies were on the verge of defeating India at that point, with ten runs needed from three balls, but in the end, the Indian bowlers kept their spells tight and won the match by three runs.
