A “cease to report” to work order has been issued to the teacher at Tranquillity Government Primary School in Port of Spain who has been accused of verbally abusing and threatening her pupils.

PRESIDENT general of the Oilfields Workers’ Trade Union (OWTU) Ancel Roget says the union’s winning bid for the Pointe-a-Pierre refinery is for all citizens, not just former Petrotrin workers. Government yesterday announced Patriotic Ener­gies and Technologies Com­pany Ltd, a company wholly owned by the OWTU, as the successful bidder for the sale of the refinery.
