Astar Bishop, the school teacher reported missing last week, has been found.
Bishop, 38, contacted his family last Friday night, the Express was told.
A relative said Bishop was not injured and was not a victim of crime.
He said, “We became worried when he did not return home. And when his car was found abandoned on the highway we thought the worst. But he was found and we are thankful that he is okay.”
The relative did not want to say more on the matter.
Bishop, an art and music teacher, was reported missing after his vehicle was found abandoned along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway on Thursday night.
His mother, Boni Bishop, told the Express that her son was last seen leaving the family’s Belmont home at around midday.
Relatives became worried when he did not return home that night. They contacted the police.
The mother said her fears worsened when a friend called to say Bishop’s Nissan Wingroad wagon was spotted on the east bound lane of the highway.
The vehicle was parked on the shoulder and Bishop was nowhere to be found.
