CEASE ALL DEALINGS: Dr Roodal Moonilal

STOP all negotiations for the sale of the Pointe-a-Pierre refinery until after the next general election. So demanded Oropouche East MP Dr Roodal Moonilal yesterday.

“I call on the Government to cease all dealings on this matter in an election year and allow a new administration to grapple with this challenge based on a fresh mandate from the people,” he stated. Moonilal did not take up the challenge from Oilfields Workers’ Trade Union (OWTU) president general Ancel Roget to repeat the claims made during the budget debate on Tuesday about the OWTU’s acquisition of the Pointe-a-Pierre refinery, outside of the cover of parliamentary privilege.
