PATIENTS who suffer from Crohn’s Disease and ulcerative colitis have written to the Ministry of Health and have started an online petition as they plead with the Government to continue providing their medication through the public hospitals.

The letters have been sent to the ministry’s Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and the online petition, created on Tuesday, showed close to 900 signatures yesterday from those in support of the drugs Pentasa and Asacol remaining on the national formulary.
