Recovered: This Toyota Hilux, stolen on Thursday evening from the car park of Massy Stores, Westmoorings, was in the process of being disassembled for parts when it was found by police in Port of Spain.

POLICE are warning citi­zens to take precautions and observe their surroundings following several reports of robberies, with two incidents taking place in car parks on Thursday.

On Thursday evening, a 52-year-old economist, who police said is employed with a United Nations office in Trinidad, was robbed at gunpoint in the car park of Massy Stores in Westmoorings, near The Falls at Westmall. Police said around 6.40 p.m., Michael Hendrickson and his 16-year-old daughter were walking to his Toyota Hilux, having just left Massy Stores super­market.
