The Ministry of Health’s Monday morning update:

The following information was provided.

Number of samples submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), the UWI and other local sites for testing for COVID-19. 29,183

Number of unique patient tests completed 26,120

Number of repeated tests 3,063

Number of samples which have tested positive at public and private facilities in Trinidad and Tobago 3,930

Total number of active cases 2,063

The Ministry of Health provides the following update:

• 29 additional persons have tested positive for COVID -19.

These 29 new patients will be processed for admission at the discretion of the CMOH

• 4 persons have been discharged from public health facilities

.- Number of deaths 65

• There have been 45 recovered community cases.

Recovered community cases refer to persons who were previously COVID-19 positive and in self-isolation at home, and subsequently met the discharge criteria and were released from self-isolation.

THE MINISTRY of Health has reported one additional Covid-19 death, bringing the local toll to 98.

Two police investigators from Barbados have arrived in Trinidad and Tobago to help local law enforcement with a probe into the police seizure, and return of, $22 million from the Drugs Sou Sou (DSS) operation.

Murdered mother of two Tineil Cupid was given her final rites by family members and friends at a funeral service at JE Guide Funeral Home and Crematorium, San Fernando, yesterday.
