ANCHARD “Rocky” Hosein appeared before a San Fernando magistrate charged with the murder of Raffick Mohammed.
Mohammed, 60, of Golconda, died last week Friday, five days after he allegedly went to his girlfriend’s Golconda home and was beaten about his body with a baton.
Hosein, 43 of Picton Settlement, Diamond Village, San Fernando was in custody following the wounding.
After Mohammed's death, he was charged by constable Sutherland with murder, upon advice from deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Joan Honore. Legal officer Kyrn Lewis presented the file in the matter.
At his court appearance on Friday, Hosein faced magistrate Kerianne Byer.
Police prosecutor Valerie Seuraj was present for the case.
Byer remanded him into custody until August 28.
