Police are investigating a report made by a nurse that she was robbed of $325,000 outside the Trincity Mall on Thursday night.
The woman, who also identified herself as a “bookkeeper” said the money was collected as part of the Drugs Sou Sou organisation which is now the subject of multiple investigations.
The woman, a nurse with the North Central Regional Health Authority said that at around 11p.m. she was with her brother leaving the south entrance of the mall when a man approached them.
The man was described as being of African descent, fair skinned, short hair, slim build.
He grabbed a black duffle bag with the markings ‘pink’.
The nurse’s brother tried to fight off the man but he escaped with the money in a red station wagon.
The bag contained $325,000.
