THE woman with the rosary tattoo was killed on Thursday morning and her body dumped in Cunupia.

The discovery of her body was found in the bushes 20 feet off Ramcharitar Trace.

There were several gunshot wounds to the face and head, the hands were bound with tie straps and there was a gag in the mouth.

ASP Richard Smith and Insp Ganga Singh led police officers of the Chaguanas and Cunupia CID to the crime scene.

Police said that the medical examiner had observed that decomposition had not yet set in.

Officers are seeking the assistance of the public in identifying the body.

She was described as of East Indian descent, approximately five feet five inches tall, medium build, and was clad in a pink jersey and pink pants.

The tattoo of a rosary was on the left ankle.

The body was taken to the Forensic Sciences Centre on Friday.
