A 33-year-old man will appear before a Port-of-Spain Magistrate on Monday September 21, to answer to two charges of sexual penetration of a child, aged 12.

According to reports, a report was made to the Port-of-Spain Child Protection Unit on January 14 by the victim. She claimed that on January 8 and 14, she had sexual intercourse with the accused at his home in Belmont.

Extensive inquiries were conducted by the CPU which resulted in the accused being arrested on September 19th.

Investigations were spearheaded by acting Supt George, and supervised by Inspector Andrews Sgt Bishop, and WPC Deonarine, of the CPU.
