A silver Nissan Wingroad stolen from a Las Lomas family on Monday, was recovered by police abandoned along Mount Moriah Road, Cunupia, shortly after.

According to police, the family was relived of the vehicle, two wedding bands, a gaming console, and two Samsung cell phones after two men wearing masks and latex gloves entered their home and announced a robbery.

The victim told police that one of the suspects pointed a firearm at him ordered him to go into the house where his wife and two children were.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                

He said he and his wife were tied by the bandits, who then proceeded to ransacked their bedroom.  

The victim contacted the police following the incident and PCs Jeffery and WPC David, of the Las Lomas Police Post, responded. 

The vehicle, estimated at TT$101,500, was recovered with the assistance of the Central Division Task Force (CDTF) and Air Support Tactical unit.

PC Padmore, of the Las Lomas Police Station, is leading investigations into the robbery.
