THE Ministry of Works and Transport has advised of a traffic disruption tomorrow into Sunday, along the north-bound and south-bound lanes of the Uriah Butler Highway (UBH).
Motorists are advised that traffic will be affected between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on both days, in the vicinity of the 4.97 kilometre, 5.88km, 6.40km and 8.19km marks.
The disruptions are as follows: 4.97km mark (bridge right before the Caroni Flyover, south-bound, or the bridge right after the Caroni Flyover, north-bound); the 5.88km mark (first bridge after the Caroni Flyover, south-bound or bridge right before the Caroni Flyover, north-bound); the 6.40km mark (second bridge after the Caroni Flyover, south-bound); and the 8.19km mark, in the vicinity of the bridge close to the recently-closed American Stores compound.
A minimum of two lanes of traffic will remain open to motorists in both the north-bound and south-bound direction along the UBH at all times, the Ministry said.
Motorists are advised to comply with the temporary arrangements, proceed with caution and observe all directional signs.
“Comply with instructions from police officers on site to facilitate the flow of traffic in an orderly manner,” the Ministry stated.
