The nude body of a woman was found in an abandoned ‘drug house’ in Tunapuna on Monday afternoon.
The body was identified as that of 29-year-old Kimberly Ramsaran.
She appeared to have been chopped to death. There was a wound to the right side of the neck.
Ramsaran, 29, was last seen alive at about 11p.m. on Sunday at the structure by a friend.
The friend went to check on her the following day, and he made the discovery.
A black handled knife was found.
Police told the Express that Ramsaran’s body was found in the bedroom of the structure at Cemetery Street– which is a ‘known location for drug addicts’.
This scene was visited by Inspector Joseph, Inspector Boodhoo, PC Xavier, and WPC Marcelin.
