Keshorn Walcott celebrated an unprecedented Caribbean men’s javelin medal sweep on the penultimate day of the 2019 Pan American Games here in Lima, Peru, on Saturday.

Walcott threw 83.55 metres to pick up silver, the Trinidad and Tobago athlete surrendering his title to Anderson Peters, the Grenadian landing the spear 87.31m to establish a new Games record. And with St Lucia’s Albert Reynolds claiming bronze with a personal best 82.19m, a new chapter of history was written.
