The eighth edition of the Beacon Cycling on the Avenue pedals off today in Woodbrook with a grand prize of $10,000 up for grabs in the main event, featuring riders from across the globe.

The feature event is a gruelling 35-lap Open International race on a 1.2 kilometre circuit for Elite 1&2 and Invitational riders. This race will see Trinidad and Tobago’s top road cyclists, led by veteran Emile Abraham and including Akil Campbell and Tyler Cole, taking on riders from Antigua, Venezuela, Canada, South Africa, Colombia, New Zealand, Barbados, Germany, Holland and, of course, the USA.
